such a far-lengthened time
yet not too long to love you...
it has only been a few years
that somehow became decades
yet it seems like only yesterday to me...
i promised myself that
i would wait forever
for the return of your love
that occupied a special place
in my heart and
was given and received
without much effort from either of us
perhaps some things
just aren't worth waiting for
but for your love
i continue to wait
and the waiting is not that hard
just the emptiness of the waiting
