Each Night

In nightly ritual is this thinking of you
                  Thinking of things once shared, wonderful moments
                                      Love was to last forever,
                                                          but it seems only loneliness has that power
Tears visit to end each day
        as I try to make sense of it all
                    I plead with time to end this cruelty inflicted
                                      To let me know you again like I do in these memories
                  To love you with the presence of hope again
                                      I could not endure without hope of this
                                                          for my heart is too fragile
For my soul is so lost and
                    confused in this vacuum of loneliness
                                      and my eyes heavy and tired from too many tears this night
As I fall asleep to find relief this I will always know
                  You will be here in this dreaming at least
                                      In my heart as in my dreams forever
                  For my foundation of hope is that I will love you always
As I dream of you each night.
