Not Asking for a Fairytale
@Uootem
Shinning-armored gallant knight
on pure white steed
his trusted transport
and his honored duty
to awaken the damsel-like beauty
of some princess fair
with a long-sought magical kiss
that makes everafter so right.
Such mere storybook romancing
could easily fill this page
but I am not asking for a fairytale
for that youthful innocence is gone
i am not so naive to believe that it is not.
What can rescue my weary heart
from its world of darkness? but a chance... improbable as it seems...
unreasoned in its prospects...
the kind of futile dreaming but i long for a chance.
to once again find love in your eyes
to once again whisper and to hear whispers returned
to once again find security in your warmth to let the wounds begin to heal... my heart once again feel to be protected from the harsh winds of reality to be shielded from the constant passing of time to feel the healing of your loving hand a chance to do what I do dream to once again give of myself, heart and soul to once again receive from you the same.
can our once-upon-a-time past
finally revel to us
our happily - everafter future
... our am I writing fiction again?
sometimes i can't distinguish fairytales from hopes.
