Loving You Silently

My heart screams
                "I love you" words,
                                  Unheard over the distance of time.
                                                      and the ambient noise
                                                                        of the present day voices around us.
Yet, I still silently yearn
                for your simple touch.
                                  As I hold onto the hope
                                                    that our love will someday reunite us
                                                                        and once and for all prove
                                                                                            that our love is as everlasting
                                                                                                                as my poetry claims.
And writing of the prospects,
                the hope of finding you again
                                  I only lose my soul,
                                                      every time.
Being aware that
                you have the power to
                                  change my world from
                                                      futile hope to fulfilled dream,
                                                                        only forces me to write more often.
But I don't mind that,
                My love for you, will never wane.
                                  In fact I dream of the day
                                                      in which we can pledge it.
                                                                        forevermore!
