An irresistible undercurrent of peaceful serenity,
and an overwhelming awareness of excitement
  overpowers my senses with a single thought of you,
  oh yes... I remember so well what you shared with me.

A smile that bathes me with a power-filled waterfall of dreaming,
that comes to rest in a serene pool of memories.
 
A love-sweetened kiss that invokes my deepest of recollections,
and also the sensation of blandness since I no longer taste it.

A hug that propels me to a fantasy-land of how warmth feels,
and a feeling of emptiness without love's embrace.

Vivid emotions that take control over my heart.
The electricity that surges when you were near, and trembling fate of my destiny.

The sound of laughing from a boy and girl who thought they knew of lasting love
that now in silence makes me listen intently, for the words 'we're meant to be.'

The eyes which send me to heaven heights,
when their gleaming told me of love from deep inside you.

The echo of whispers that send me to a far off time in a distant land,
The words uttered: "me too you" from a voice which makes me weak,

The promises that drown me in the sea of unfulfilled expectations,
promises meant when spoken, but forgotten with the act of growing up.

And the vision of a future love that almost blinds me from reality,
the feelings, the memories, the yearning for what you once brought to me.
