In times so often...
              cherished thoughts
myself sitting...
              pen in hand against paper
                              recalling... writing of you and I
                                      and of our future...
                  the could-have-been together.
You are a special someone...
                touched my heart
                                now so long ago....
                                      but I could fall so madly in love with
                              all over again...
                    if that future were to appear suddenly today.
            every breath breathed,
                          every wish ever wished,
            every thought ever thought,
                                  every dream ever had... you.
            because of pain hidden within,
                                  the fear of losing forever,
                                              and the nagging question marks of "ever again"?

In times so often...
            futile attempts I try
                          to leave behind the tears...
                    the disappointment of times no more.
                              to keep alive the positive emotions once found...
                love's memories
                          so all to be perfect...
              should we ever again have the chance.

In these new day times,
                  the unknown times that I long to see
                                my fate... our destiny
          in the clearness of a seer's crystal ball
                              This person I've been loving
          in a secret silence for so long,
                          Will she ever again hold my heart in her heart...
                                                  support my dreams
                          Will she ever again nurture my spirit...
                                                  be there for me always
                          Will she ever again cherish me
                                                  as much as I cherish her
                                      Will we ever again be together
                    this time until we both part this world

So you see,
          these thoughts I have just shared with you
                        Are some of the many thoughts...
          hopes and wishes
                      of our life that someday may be...
                                        that in times so often dreamed
                          all to be perfect...
                should we ever again have the chance.
