"The Rediscovered Girl"

If you rediscovered the girl that resides in you?
Would you give her the chance to be with me again?
The person I see is part woman, yet still part girl.
I can see that the innocence is still there
It's managed to survive and
With it all the love I want to share with her.

Through all the many years that have passed
She has remained constantly on my mind.
Like an unbroken chain... those memories

There are so many poems I have written about her and
Each one has made the memory of her stronger
And my need for life has made me want
To make each moment with her last longer.
I am ready to undertake the challenge
Anytime, any place, anywhere

I can still see the impulsiveness and
The restlessness that was her...
I have experienced it all and
it's not something the woman should censor.
I know that the girl is still there
Inside the woman you have become.
There is nothing about her to be ashamed of,
Nothing for the woman to fear.
Her heart is as deep as an ocean.
Her soul is a lively spectrum of emotions.

If the woman you are looks in the mirror
that's the girl you were she sees.
I guess that woman in the mirror is
who the girl actually came to be.
Since I love the girl that's inside the woman,
I am sure I would love the woman, too.
