"Dreamland Journey"

I am led to the edge of a limitless void
where time and space cease of exist
in front of me a golden door of light
in my hand, this poem... the key
I cannot ignore the urge to enter in
endless are the sacred memories of my life within,
but now, I am far from love's once pure anointing,
where loneliness never ends... and emptiness is all known.
The narrow corridor i find in this place
is strewn with shattered dreams and haunting memories
that whisper beneath each step taken... from behind locked doors
the pain the sounds provide prodding me on a journey
disregarding my heart's request for release... for mercy
I am far from the world I know... farther still from love
shadows form around me... my soul falls forward
tossed on the winds of futile longings... searches
with emotions strong, I give my all to find my way back.
I seek another escape of love and faith so real
to become awake in reality again
but fate and destiny are not my savior
when I close my eyes, I know where I am
continuing on my dreamland journey
only pretending to live in the here and now.
Will I ever find your love again?
and finally escape the land of dreaming
perhaps it is here I am led for the finding... my vision quest
to find my way back to present times.
could this be the place I finally find you
roaming in this land searching for me?
