A shooting star in radiance gleams
as it moves down across the sky
bringing life to my desires for you in dreams
i pause to make a wish upon it... but don't know why.
As its aura glistens just above a tree
I feel nothing but your touch
encumbering my soul with love eternally
never noticing perhaps I wished too much.
Looking above me the full moon shines
so bright and aggressive is the light that blinds
my heart discerns from all the zodiac signs
something missed by even the astrology minds.
A shooting star as toward the far horizon goes
touches deep within my forever yearning heart
and with this insurgence it goes to show
that our love was true and will never really part.
