This Night
@Uootem
I sit in a silvered incandescence of light
from an autumn moon so perfectly full...
a clear evening... a touch of coldness felt. With nature at its best pellucidness one can but sigh a smile and attempt the forgetting
of so much time passing in each synodic month.
The stars dance in their scintillation
but make no euphony for me here under the same heavens they shine in the same achromatic colour of the night quietly working their magic on my heart
as they did when we shared their cabaret... memories so beautiful and sacred. A zephyr fills the air... so fresh and light
and my heart is warmed by the thought
of how your breath felt against my neck.
as the breeze stirs the colorful fallen leaves
which rested on the ground around me
and I hear you voice in their crispness...
fading to quiet as they scurry away... still remembered.
A shooting star harvests my wishes
saved in my heart for this special night event as they melt into a world of their own leaving traces of their light in my soul.
I gaze up at the moon and dream in its grace I can feel you here... almost see your face Your eyes embrace all the sky... reflecting the glitter of stars As an echo in the lenient moonbeam they flourish in my visions.
My recollections of you fill my life with sweetness... candies and honey, clouds and rainbow skies sunset and sunrise, freshly fallen snow,
moonlight on a serene lake, bees and springtime flowers...
But above all, those eyes that once spoke to me of love...
these are the pleasures for me in this night.
