regret

@Uootem

an emotion
          I often practice,
it is bleed from my heart
                                      a wound of forever time,
              the anamnesis of love's losing
consigned to me at your leaving,
                  impermissible is its display
aggrieving is best done in private,
                                                                    consorted by misery.

we hoard our values,
the things that matter to us most
                      along the journey through life
love strengthens our hearts, when it is present...
weakens our souls, when it leaves...
                            either way persuading our future,
love guides us, gives us our memory.

regret is
          an emotion of import,
fed by longings, conjured with unfulfilled desires,
the best way to accept a lost love,
is to remember love, sate your soul with it,
we are what we have loved,
we are the memory that we coddle,
regret is not the answer,
          it is not what matters,
love is... even love that was lost too soon.
