You have vanished for now,
as sudden as anything unexpected...
your shadow and the warmness only remains.
Your touch, you kiss are absent too,
I feel my lip quiver from withdrawals
as the taste of sweet young love lingers still.

I am awakened tonight... again,
by the yearning to feel once more,
to feel the love you gave.

Your breath still rushes across my neck,
And the breeze speaks again your words.
but only in echoes now... echoes so familiar.
I dream of you, your words and those lips,
and wonder what might surely result
from my longings and emptiness.

I am awakened tonight again,
by the yearning to fall once more,
to fall in love with you anew.

As the light of another day creeps in,
No rest for the inconsolable poet
Words rush from hand to paper... again
Joy and rapture sought in phrases.

I listen to the breeze from open window
and close the newly bled pages.
The course of action... my plan for the day:
To see those lips and you once more,
And then to dream of that sweetness again.
So that sleep escapes my routine once more.
