The foolish poet in my heart writes
to keep on remembering...
to let no time pass unremembered...
for he believes there is hope in remembering
that there can be a renewal of love of from my youth
recollection to me company for all my years
Must I live with tears for all my years?
will this keep the future time from coming?
must I let linger the longing?
must I live today on emotions
from love once shared now gone?
It's you I'm dreaming of
I dream the thoughts you own
I write poetry to recount that day
but you must not see my pain
as I wake up just alone again
when only dream's images remain
I am all alone... got to move on
but I must let no time pass unremembered.
