feeling emotions
that should not be felt anymore
dreaming dreams
that can never be again
but do not fade from memory
leaving me estranged
from you for this lifetime
like a trident
through my heart
it stabs,
tearing apart
piece by piece
my happiness
forfeited by your leaving
gone is this bliss
without a chance for return
for without a choice
I am alone forever
a moment gained by experience
will be remembered forever
and forever is a moment
that was lost in an instant
thus a tear shed so long ago remains.
