thrice times three

all things proceed in threes:

    dreaming, remembering, hoping. 
        connection, separation, absence.
              love, pain, yearning.

    anticipation, expectation, longing.
          friends, lovers, strangers.
                to be, is, not meant to be.

    knowing, forgetting, recognition.
          searching, finding, longing.
              past, present, future.

and thus the poet is disillusioned thrice times three.
