I am a poet...
            not necessarily born that way
      but still I came to find myself
                    on the pages 
                        in between birth and death...
            love and losing.
I write every word
        that enters my thoughts
                      perhaps, simply
                              for the sensual indulgence
          of pen held tightly in my hand,
                                a hand otherwise empty.
seducing emotions into sultry words
                  onto the impatient parchment;
      to stop myself from thinking
                              how pleasant it must be
            on the brink a certain insanity;
to give myself to your love
            and to the connotation
                    that 'we' would be together again.
