in her smile
@uootem
a poetic tendency that never dies, born of a smile i once saw in her eyes, the only visible remnant of love torn apart eternity forcing its way brilliantly into a fragile heart.
I caught her eye and held on, tightly
haunting shadows of a love once shown brightly now, my insistence does not matter anymore
for nothing is the same as it was before.
Shroud me in naked written confession
another series of words in rhyming succession is just useless emotion as to blank page it clings with another ink stain, another regret it brings.
In one shared moment of our yesteryear my eyes once wide open, now shed another tear enough for her name to swim right through and etch a memory there for constant view.
She pressed her love against me like a sheet of hot rain
nothing else could ever bring that passion again for what we shared was true love's sweet dance
and for me there comes no second chance.
