A warm breeze flows through the trees… leaves singing.
Birds and bees flitter about on their daily rounds.
Somewhere children are laughing in bare feet.
Freshly mown grass tickles my ear.
The sun in my eyes... sunglasses block the glare.

I feel your presence as it surrounds me…
Feels so good to know you're there.
Enfolding me in your embrace,
Like you'll never let go, you hold me close.
I am betrayed by the love in my eyes.
I feel the eagerness… tempered with warmth
Of your body rising to fit against mine.
Wish we could stay like this forever… for it's summertime.

It's the most wonderful day… being here,
And the look on your face that acquaints me to love.
I kiss you softly and taste sweetness of the love on your lips,
A residual of the words you promise this day.
And lean back into our future together…
Daydreams were never this good.
