You'd never guess how I yearn,
the secrets of bringing you back to me to learn,
to once again feel the warmth I miss,
to taste the sweetness of your kiss.

Yet Life must go on, even if it's alone,
my undying devotion, never to be shone.
I'll play the part, of being a friend not a lover,
for the path to your love, I can not discover.

I try picturing it in my mind,
although dreaming is so unkind,
feeling love inside me, holding you that first time.
collecting the photographs for the mind.

Watching you from close-by distance,
And longing for loving from you, if given a chance
each day my love feeling more intense,
no matter how much time passes since.
