take up your poetic pen for me... my dear poetess
let your ink fill my soul with delight in your introspection
that I may come to you in periwinkle dreams
cast in golden slumbers of the pre-dawning haze
of words you have yet to write, but I yearn are within.

adorn your sensual parchment with passion,
that I may feast on a banquet of your verse
forged for only me on the mahogany escritoire of your soul
yes, sweet poetess write of what we both remember,
let your pen hear of my undying love that knows no passing rhythms of time.

as I come to you in golden chariots of midday sun
will you find it blazing with a thesaurus of calenture?
If my heart became a mantel of sturdy oak,
would you spread your laurels upon it
anchoring it there in the fireplace of expression?

if I come to you in azure orbits of nighttime moonglows,
would passion dreams find an eager heart burning in your love-cast pen?
if my heart became a silken sheet, slippery-soft and beckoning,
would you wrap yourself in its hope and
glory in the rapture that only a poetess knows?

I have waited for your musing in longing shadows
and cast spells with my own heart-warming inkings,
but are they not enough. to awaken your intrigue
to cause the forging of the words I long to read
from the highest plateaus of your creative heart.

tell me in secret whispers, I will not betray,
and I will open heaven's book for us.

whisper your heart to me, place it beside my pillow
and breathe soft caresses to my ear.

I will guard it with passion and fire, fanning the flame,
until I find the meanings you prose; for my ardor is unceasing.

my spirit hopes in eternity, and dies a little with each day of your silence.
renew me with your life-poem... awaken my mind to your beacon shining brightly,
in awe of you... in awe of your well-versed bard...
