Contemplation Stings: of love's lasting

(c) Uootem 2002

Contemplation stings: how can I know of love's lasting?
by my words written in quietness, but not by her acknowledgment
for it is not by chance, nor Fate, but of poetic meanings meant.

Contemplation stings: how can I feel of love's lasting?
for I have found here a beholding of  her in silence
as the futileness of emotions that remain in my last sentence.

Contemplation stings: how can I reveal love's lasting?
and let be told by my eyes what should still be concealed
oh echo not those words; I have not heard but revealed.

Contemplation stings: how can I find love's lasting?
where I have waited for Fate to bring such cherished prize
to allow me to love again in the gaze of once known eyes.

Contemplation stings: is there true reality in love's lasting?
without boundaries, there by dreaming under bluer skies,
gazing beyond white crested mountains where a fulfilled future lies.

Contemplation stings: is there hope in love's lasting?
where in years apart I have thus my confidence thus flung
that she would once come to pause and know songs hearts once sung.

That all other words are but such futileness, if not hers,
For hers, is but what I know of love in whispered voice
Contemplation stings: love's lasting is but her choice.
