"Running From the Rain"

I know I must to tell you someday,
or go insane from my continued silence...
that there are things I feel... and I can't forever deny.
It's just a simple phrase, those three words...
spoken in unison by both of us before.

I know I must tell you the dreams I have seen.
for they contain something you should know
so filled with emotion all too real to be surpressed.
someday i will confess these things, then turn and go.

You came to me with love in your eyes.
you made promises to me that I took for real.
you helped me to learn of love and to feel.
you held my hand, kissed me, and then.....

We walked forever that day... hand in hand
all the time laughing in the rain,
the moisture joining our lips in reverent bliss
but the rain has stopped... so has the laughter.

Until the day of my divulgence...
I just keep running from the rain.
