With loving thoughts and
      ungrounded aspirations
i meander the darkness of night
      where memories hide in shadows
            evoking me with my longings
                longings for your love, now lost,
            the moon soon betrays my secrets
      and brings you into my dreams
            only for a moment consoling my yearning,
for my lost lover is in a time far away
      and time waits not for me
dreams for me now, my only rest;
    gone are yesterday's loving glances...
    gone is the play of adolescent games...
          that we shared when we were both in love so new,
    me now dreaming of "us" as we used to be
                      together in contentment,
          that for now
      i find only in shadows
  and the memories hidden there.
