vividly animated colors...
red, yellow, pink, blue, then green
excitement, happiness, desire, sadness, then jealousy
emotions that rolled off her tongue,
flowing past love-ample lips,
once considered as sweet as candy
rainbow-like illustrations on the canvas of time,
in an otherwise colorblind existence.

again the artist's pallet is tasted in memory,
passion filled words of young love
now haunting words of love lost
with recollection these colors seep onto the page,
poetic images used to describe the magic
perhaps a transformation of reality to fantasy... 
interpreted with a penned force of deep emotion.

the poet afraid of self expression,
still sharing colors he feels in his heart,
discovered in his landscape of finger-painted thoughts
this is the art of the poet....
