Sitting here alone and cold,
in the place where we once sat together in warmth,
where you last told me of your love for me,
so long ago... but just like yesterday in my mind.
somethings have changed, others remain constant.
I recall those words which you once meant
they still warm my heart...
when I think of their promise.
Yesterday, I would've rang your doorbell
and you would have greeted me with a hug
this day I stand alone...
but still must smile with satisfaction
For in this place I found a love which
has withstood the boundaries of time.
Although you're not here,
the emotions still remain
and touch that part of me only you knew,
If I could have back a moment of that past,
I would strive to find a way to make it last.
If I could once more hold your hand in mine,
In love's sweet feast I could dine.
If I could only feel our hearts beat in unison again,
I would remind you of how in love we began.
If I could only tell you my secret
of how much I still love you with no regret.
I would find myself with dreams fulfilled
and once more be embraced by your love.
And though tomorrow feels a lifetime away,
just like the past years seeming like an eternity,
I know someday again we will meet... perhaps to find "us" again.
