Notes:
Sean
O'Haire felt cheated at the Royal Rumble, so RVD gave him
a chance to beat him for the #1 contendership in the
opening match. After what was the best match of the
night, RVD emerged with his title shot intact.
D'Lo and Regal continued their feud, and this time it was
for the European title. Regal, however, got the win this
time, and claimed that D'Lo will NOT get a rematch at
WrestleMania.
Next, the Impact Players beat KAIENTAI and will now head
to WrestleMania to vie for the WWF titles from their
hated enemies, The Outsiders, who NEVER gave the Players
a rematch.
To prove he's hardcore, Erik Angle got into a feud with
Perry Saturn. In the end of a pretty good match, and
Erik's first singles bout on PPV, he beat Saturn to earn
a Hardcore title shot at WrestleMania.
X-Pac went after the Hardcore title, but this time Al
Snow came out victorious. After the match, he was
attacked by Erik Angle.
Hardly Christian and E & C put aside their
differences to take on Scott Steiner, Bill Goldberg, and
the Dark Carnival. In the end, however, the problems
between Christian and Chavo caused them to lose the
match.
Kanyon got a HUGE win over Dean Malenko to earn himself
one more IC title shot at WrestleMania. After the match,
Eric Bischoff claimed that if Bret Hart ever loses the
WWF World title, the "REAL WCW" will leave the
WWF.
The Holly's got a shot at the Outsider's titles, but it
wasn't to be. The Impact Players attacked the Outsiders
after the match.
Chris Jericho and Jeff Hardy put on a great match. If
Hardy won, he would get a World title shot on RAW, but
Jericho and the Outsiders made sure it didn't happen.
Reckless Youth got a HUGE oppurtunity when Edge allowed
him to have an IC title shot. But Edge was too seasoned
for the youngster, as he won and retained his title.
Kurt Angle teamed up with Chris Benoit to face Kurt's
enemy, Hogan, and Benoit's enemy, Michaels. This is a one
time only match for Michaels, as he's still injured, and
Kurt and Chris worked on his back the entire time. But
the end came when Hogan was going for the big boot to put
Kurt down, but Kurt hit him with the Torture Rack Suplex
instead, and pinned Hogan! He'll face Hogan one-on-one at
WrestleMania, while Benoit will lead three other men in
the Brawl!
Triple H took on his old counterpart, Ric Flair, and
lost! Shawn Michaels held Triple H down as Flair put him
in the Figure Four.
The main event saw Booker T finally get another World
title shot after he astonishing number of wins. But, Bret
Hart was took much for the man, as Bret got the victory!
