Notes:
Finally,
the big event! The "REAL WCW" has been around
for a year now, holding the WWF World title for all but
THREE of those months. The WWF wants to end it here, and
all that needs to be done is, RVD has to beat Bret Hart!
The night starts with a great match between Jeff Hardy
and X-Pac. Jeff Hardy is able to win back his
Lightheavyweight Title and X-Pac pouts about it
afterwards.
Next, KAIENTAI beat the Dark Carnival, even with help
from ICP, to give the DC their first WWF loss!
Chavo Guerrero Jr. has been feuding with Regal since No
Way Out, looking for a singles title while his cousin,
Eddie, helps his friends get ready for the Brawl. But,
Regal gets the win and retains the Euro title.
Reckless Youth continues to try and make a name for
himself, and he does it by beating D'Lo Brown. After the
match, D'Lo goes crazy. He finds and attacks Chris Benoit
for no reason, but Benoit is able to beat him away. D'Lo
has gone heel!
Next up, Erik Angle gets his shot at Al Snow's Hardcore
title. Erik beats him for it, too! Erik had finally made
a name for himself.
Hardley Christian and The Holly's go at it, but Hardly
Christian gets the win. The match was to determine the #1
contenders to the tag titles for a match at Backlash.
Kanyon gets his last shot at Edge's IC title, and he
blows it! Edge gets the BIG win.
Sean O'Haire goes to bat for his friend, RVD, and takes
on RVD's old nemesis, Chris Jericho. O'Haire gets the big
win, pinning Jericho with his finisher, The Download.
Booker T takes on Randy Savage, and Booker beats the old
man.
Kurt Angle faces his nemesis, Hollywood Hogan, and beats
the old fart! Kurt proves he is the one, true, American
patriot in wrestling!
Triple H faces Ric Flair again. This time, Shawn Michaels
is not in the building, so HHH gets a clean match, and
beats Flair! Shawn Michaels is actually in Atlanta, as he
has begun working in the offices of WCW.
The Impact Players finally get their rematch with The
Outsiders! And they prove that what they said all along
was right: if the Outsiders had just given them a
rematch, they would have won the titles back right away!
The Outsiders LOSE to the Impact Players! The titles are
back with the WWF!
The 4th Annual BRAWL! The Dudley Clan is representing
ECW, Kronik/Sting/DDP are reps for WCW, and The Radicalz
return for one night as a group to represent the WWF! For
the first time since the Brawl has been held at
WrestleMania, the WWF loses! WCW takes the win when Brian
Adams of Kronik beats both D-Von Dudley and Perry Saturn!
Next, the WCW v/s RWCW tag match: Steve Austin's
retirement match. The end comes when Austin pins the
Austin impersonator, Goldberg, with the Stone Cold
Stunner for the WCW win!!!
And finally, the main event! RWCW is banned from
ringside, as if the WWF! Bischoff and McMahon are in the
corners of their respective wrestlers. The match is
great: a five star match. After almost fourty minutes of
great action, Vince McMahon trips Bret Hart, allowing RVD
to hit the Frog Splash for the win! Bret spits on McMahon
again, and Bischoff wines and moans about cheating! Vince
says, as a sign of good faith, The Outsiders will be
allowed to get another shot at the tag straps, only by
beating Eddie & Chavo at Backlash. And, Ric Flair
will get a shot at RVD's World title at Backlash, as
well. If they BOTH win, then the RWCW will be allowed to
stay!
