Notes:
D'Lo
Brown went at it again with Al Snow. Snow is basically
reduced to jobber matches now. He has a feud lined up in
the future, but after that feud, he's probably going to
just job the rest of his WWF career away before I retire
him. I have plans for the next year, and Snow just
doesn't fit in them.
Perry Saturn once again faces Erik Angle, and he wins for
the second time! 2-9! Saturn has finally beaten his arch
enemy, and now he's proven it wasn't just a fluke.
Saturn's feud with Angle is almost over. They'll fight in
a rematch at Judgement Day before Erik Angle begins
moving up the card and forms a tag-team with his brother.
Saturn will later start a feud with Maise. After that,
they'll be scheduled to meet yet again at WrestleMania
23, and that will be that for their feud. Shortly after
that, Saturn is another wrestler who will be slowly
phased out of WWF PPV's. He won't retire, just be phased
out.
GenX continues their winning streak here with their feud
against The Hardy Boyz. GenX is basically saying that The
Hardyz are over with and they need to retire. This is the
end of the feud for now, but because it's a big draw,
it'll return in time for SummerSlam and WrestleMania.
Tajiri meets Dean Malenko to get over the feud these two
will have over the next couple of years. After numerous
Lightheavyweight Title matches, these two will soon feud
over other titles as well. Tajiri wins this one.
The Impact Players continue their solid status as the
most dominant heel tag-team since the New Age Outlaws.
They beat the Holly's just because.
Kurt Angle has been saying that he wants to make all of
the others titles in the WWF as big as he made the IC,
Euro, and World titles when he held them, so he
challenged Scotty Too Hotty to a Lightheavyweight Title
match. Kurt barely makes the limit, but he does, and he
absolutely ANNIHILATES Scotty to win the WWF
Lightheavyweight Title. The crowd erupted into boos just
because they hate Kurt, not because they like Scotty.
Booker T and Chris Benoit seem lost in the infrastructure
of the WWF right now, so they go at it with each other.
Booker T gets the win because Benoit will get what he
wants a little later.
E & C cotinue to cement their status as the greatest
fan favorites the tag-team scene has ever seen. Eddie and
Chavo retain the titles against Reckless Youth and Sick
Boy.
Maise teamed with Christian to take on their respective
feuds, Sean O'Haire and Edge. O'Haire and Maise have had
an outstanding feud since they've been fighting each
other, with great matches because of it, and Edge &
Christian always have great chemistry. Maise &
Christian get the win when Christian gets a clean win
over his brother.
William Regal challenged RVD for the World title after he
won that #1 contender's match at WrestleMania. Regal
brought in his own referee for the match so the rules
would be upheld...Bill Alfonso! In the end, when Rob Van
Dam looked to be almost completely out of the match,
Regal went to hit him with a chair, but Fonzie pulled the
chair away from him! Then he threw it back at him, and
RVD nailed the Van Daminator! Bill Alfonso disqualified
Rob Van Dam for using the chair, but the fans cheered on
as RVD and Fonzie held up each others hands and once
again became his manager. Fonzie was always an integral
part of Rob Van Dam's character, so he needed to come
back. William Regal won the match by DQ, but not the
title. The feud doesn't end here, though. This feud is
meant to get Regal over as a SERIOUS threat to RVD's
title.
