Notes:
Edge
starts out the night against Kanyon, as the two have been
trading wins for the last month on RAW. GREAT opening
match, used to pump up the crowd. Edge gets the win,
sending Kanyon further over the edge of insanity, as he
keeps losing ever since he lost the European title.
William Regal and D'Lo Brown have been trading coments on
who the better Euro champ was, so they fight to figure it
out. Regal comes close many times, but D'Lo eventually
gets the win.
Eddie and Chavo fight the Outsiders in a non-title match.
The "REAL WCW" is in full force, surrounding
the ring, as they're pissed that E & C didn't accept
an invitation to join them. Outsiders get the win with no
help from the outsider RWCW guys. After the match,
though, everyone attacks E & C to send a message to
everyone in the locker room.
Chris Benoit gets a rematch against WCW champ Scott
Steiner, non-title, and wins! Why? Because it's been a
couple months now, so the WWF has to get some dignity
back. Another great match by these two.
Bill Goldberg doesn't defend his ECW World title against
Rob Van Dam. And once again, the WWF gets a win! Not
trying to bury anyone, but RVD needs the win.
Tajiri and TAKA Michinoku reprise KAIENTAI! They fight
and beat The Holly's because it's their first match as
KAIENTAI. Their feud with the Holly's, by the way, isn't
going to end for a LONG time.
Al Snow gets a shot at the IC title after X-Pac attacked
him on RAW a few weeks back. Snow doesn't get the win,
though. I don't feel he's quite "IC material."
Randy Savage fights Booker T because they're both pretty
good wrestlers. Savage gets the win to bring RWCW back up
a notch or two after those loses.
Hardly Christian get a tag-title shot now that they're
out of their feud with Jeff & Edge, but the Impact
Players are still holding onto those titles in an overly
long match.
Hulk Hogan fought Triple H for the simple reason that
Randy Savage fought Booker T. Hogan gets the loss,
because I like Triple H better than Hogan.
Finally, Sean O'Haire gets his first PPV main event. He's
good friends with RVD now (even though he DID end RVD's
huge streak as IC champ), and he wants to help his
friend. But, he will prove not to be in Jericho's league,
so Jericho gets the win. After the match, Eric Bischoff
once again promises another surprise for Vince at King of
the Ring! Not just one, but TWO!
