Notes:
D'Lo
defends his European title against arch rival, Al Snow,
and retains because Al will have his time somewhere in
the future.
Erik defends against Perry Saturn and retains again,
making it 0-7 for Saturn against Erik. You'd think he'd
just give up, but Saturn's goal in life is to now beat
Erik Angle and take his title.
The Holly's yet again beat Hardly Christian in the
latter's return to PPV after a small toe injury that
Christian claimed he had when they were challenged to a
match by Edge and Jeff Hardy.
Jeff Hardy challenged Maise because Maise was running
around saying he was better than everyone in the WWF, and
Jeff wanted to test him. Well, Jeff got his ass kicked
and Maise walked away with another notch on his belt.
Edge fought fellow Canadian, Chris Benoit, in the King of
the Ring tournament! Both Benoit and Edge have won before
(Benoit last year, Edge in 2001), and both want it again.
This time, Benoit moves on to the semis.
Booker T fights Scotty. Booker has never been in the
finals of a KotR before, so he's looking to make this his
first. He destroys Scotty.
William Regal, another former King, takes on X-Pac, who
has never won. And just so you know, in my WWF, X-Pac
will never win! Regal moves on.
Tajiri moves on to the semis by beating Youth...too bad
it wasn't for the Light-heavyweight Title, which Tajiri
can't seem to beat Youth for.
Dean Malenko goes back after the IC title, but fails to
win. Sean O'Haire gets another win.
Booker T takes on Chris Benoit in the first semi-final
match, and Benoit is shafter out! Booker wins in a LONG
match, and makes it to his first King finals!
William Regal fights old charge Tajiri, and beats him.
Regal moves on to the finals to take on Booker! The
winner gets a shot at the World title at Over The Edge!
E & C finally uncrown The Impact Players and take the
tag-titles back to the side of good! The crowd was in
love with this match, as they saw their favorite team
finally win the titles!
William Regal fought Booker T for the King of the Ring
crown! The winner recieves a shot at Over The Edge!
And...it was a double pin! For the first time in history,
we have TWO Kings! CO KINGS! Both men will recieve the
shot at OTE!
Kurt Angle gets the first of many title shots he will
get. Kurt Angle tries and tries, but he loses out in the
end to RVD again! Rob Van Dam is still the World champ,
over a year now, the longest since...Hulk Hogan!
