Notes:
Edge's
good friend, Al Snow, gave Tajiri a shot at his Euro
title in order to get him in a match to punish him for
what he did to cause Edge to loose the Intercontinental
title. Snow beat Tajiri in a good match to give him his
punishment.
Scotty Too Hotty requested a Light-heavyweight Title
match with Jeff Hardy because he wants a title! Hardy
beats him because Hardy is THE Light-heavyweight Champ!
Erik Angle attacked Kurt Angle after Kurt wouldn't help
Erik fight O'Haire and Van Dam on RAW a few weeks back,
setting up Kurt challengeing for the Hardcore title,
where Erik once again stated that he was better than
every main eventer in the WWF, and he once again proved
it with a win over his brother Kurt!
The Impact Players finally went one on one with The
Holly's in their feud that's been going on since
Backlash. The Players beat them in a match that wasn't
that great.
The King of the Ring tournament starts with Perry Saturn
taking on Reckless Youth. Saturn wins and Youth throws a
fit.
Chris Benoit ends his feud with X-Pac by beating him
within an inch of his life to move on in the tournament.
Booker T pinned Dean Malenko to advance.
Finally, Sean O'Haire pinned D'Lo Brown to move on to
face Booker T in the semis.
William Regal and Edge continued their feud with Edge
challenging for the IC title. Regal, however, had a
little help from Tajiri to retain. Jeff Hardy attacked
Tajiri on behalf of Edge after Tajiri interfeared.
Chris Benoit took former partner Perry Saturn in the
semi's of an all face tournament from this point on.
Benoit got the win.
Sean O'Haire went head to head with Booker T. O'Haire may
be good, but everyone expected a Booker/Benoit finals due
to the fact that they've both held the WWF World title,
but O'Haire got the win!
Hardly Christian retained their titles once again against
E & C, but it was a controversial victory, so E &
C wanted a rematch and get it at Over The Edge.
Chris Benoit took on Sean O'Haire in the finals of the
tournament! This is the second time in three years Benoit
has made the finals of the King of the Ring tournament,
the last time when he lost to William Regal in the
finals. This time, however, Chris Benoit got the win over
Sean O'Haire to become the 2004 King of the Ring!
Triple H and Rob Van Dam feud continues here where HHH
challenges for the World title; the first of what will
turn out to be only THREE title shots Triple H will get
before WrestleMania XXII. Van Dam gets the win after a
Van Daminator.
