Notes:
Decided
to do a triangle tag match to display everyone's
abilities. Had to get the tag titles off of Matt &
Christian so I can expand their feud with Jeff Hardy
& Edge to lead into WrestleMania. Sadly, Lance Storm
was injured, so the tag titles can't even be defended
until after WrestleMania. I just had to give the Impact
Players their due, though.
Saturn once again refused to defend his title, but this
time he was able to beat Hotty. Saturn hasn't defended
the title since he won it.
The TAKA/Tajiri v/s The Hollys feud continues. Crash
faces TAKA, but loses, and Tajiri faces Hardcore. The
title isn't on the line because Hardcore doesn't meet the
weight requirement.
Faarooq's performances are getting embarassing, even when
he faces Malenko. His push is gone.
Chris Benoit and Edge I just had to put in the ring
together to see how they work on a big PPV. A great
match, so a program may be in store for them later. Matt
& Christian attack Edge after the match.
X-Pac and Jeff fought in a great match, but X-Pac's
getting a push, not Jeff. Matt & Christian attack
Jeff after the match. Edge then runs out to help Jeff.
Had to give Booker his win back against the man he lost
two a few months ago. Bradshaw's just as bad as Faarooq.
His push is also aborted.
Sean O'Haire and Al Snow against Regal and Kanyon was
just a nice little match to see them all together at
once. Turned out okay.
Jericho and Van Dam against Triple H and Angle. Angle had
to get his hands on Jericho again, but Jericho wouldn't
accept a singles match. Van Dam fought most of the match.
The Rumble brought Billy Gunn back to PPV, and made the
PPV debut of Erik Angle. He's been fighting on RAW to try
to get him established. He should be on PPV again
sometime after WrestleMania. Kurt Angle is now the
established #1 contender, as he'll face Jericho at
WrestleMania.
