Notes:
Due to
the HUGE selection of wrestlers within WWFE, I could
finally bring back the survivor matches I loved so much,
but this time with REAL sides: WWF, WCW, and ECW.
However, I had to open to card with some matches to get
the crowd excited, so Saturn and Hardcore had a hardcore
garbage match that I feel was a good choice to open.
Next up I had Crash Holly take the Light Heavyweight
title off of X-Pac so I could eventually start bringing
X-Pac up higher than the Light Heavys.
Finally, the Survivor matches. I wanted WWF v/s WCW
first, so that's what I put. But I wanted a few of these
WCW guys for the WWF, so I had them walk out on their
team. Chavo, Eddie, and Sean O'Haire joined the WWF
(again, in Eddie's case). O'Haire and Palumbo had already
lost their WCW tag titles to...Kidman and Helms, so
O'Haire was free to come over. Then I needed to establish
Malenko and TAKA as viable superstars, so I had them
become the only survivors.
Next was ECW v/s WCW, as some ECW stars made their WWF
PPV debut, such as Tanaka and Kash. In this match, Lance
Storm and Justin Credible attacked their teammates right
away, and went WWF. Then, when it was only Rock &
Kanyon against three ECW guys, and Rock tagged Kanyon in,
Kanyon walked out on Rock! He went WWF, too, as Rock was
triple teamed. ECW won when NONE of their wrestlers were
pinned.
Amazingly, Mike Awesome was able to wrestle this match
even though he was injured. WWF v/s ECW, MY dream match.
Well, I had to establish The Hardy Boyz as tougher than
nails, so they were the only survivors.
Next was a different kind of Survivor Series, as Booker T
had to survive four matches in a row. I needed the fans
to take Booker seriously as a champion, so I just ripped
off what the WWF did two years ago with Triple H: I had
Booker beat all the top guys cleanly. He beat Benoit,
Jericho, Angle, and Triple H in clean matches. Booker is
a TRUE WWF champ now.
