Notes:
This is
the card I wanted to build to as the end of the
"invasion" angle. I needed Jericho and Saturn
on the card, but I couldn't find a good spot for them, so
I let them open against Eddie and Chavo in what I feel
was a good way to open the card.
Next I had Jeff Hardy defend his WWF Hardcore title
(never lost it to RVD, it was non-title at my Invasion)
against an ECW mainstay, Tazz. I wanted this card to END
the angle, so Hardy retained. Any other day, Tazz
would've chocked his ass out.
Next I wanted to bring TAKA back as a viable Light
Heavyweight contender so I can rebuild that division, so
I had him face Kidman in another great match. Kidman
retained his WCW title, though (never lost it to X-Pac),
so we could end this angle.
X-Pac DID, however, have the Light Heavyweight title when
I started this, so I had to let him defend it against my
favorite WCW cruiser, Shane Helms. Sadly, X-Pac never
jobs, so he beat Helms and retained the WWF Light
Heavyweight title.
Matt Hardy HAD to defend that Euro title, so I chose
Awesome as his opponent to see what he could do against a
cruiser. The match was pretty good, but sadly, Awesome
was injured in it and couldn't compete for five months in
ECW. Awwwww.
I didn't want Kane or Taker in ANY fed, so I had them get
retired at the hands of the ECW titlists, The Dudley
Boyz, so as to make it believable. Dudleyz also retained
their ECW tag titles...I believe this would make them
nine time champions?
I just HAD to display Sean O'Haire's abilities in the
ring to see if I wanted to bring him into the WWF, and
yes, he had a great match against Edge & Christian.
He and Palumbo retained their WCW titles in great fashion
with the Seanton Bomb.
Sadly I had to squash the Impact Players so as to keep
the WWF tag titles in the WWF. The APA, however, I DO
like, so I guess it wasn't that bad. Bradshaw and
Faarooq, however, don't put out great matches as a team,
so they won't keep `em for long.
And now I just HAD to bring the ECW TV Title back to ECW,
and who better to give it to than Jerry Lynn, who was
never able to capture the damn thing in ECW in the first
place. The TV title has more prestigue than the World
title, so it's NOT a step down.
Sadly, I had to give the WCW US title back to the WCW, so
Rob Van Dam had to lose to Hugh Morrus. I forget why I
didn't just keep it on Kanyon in the first place...I
don't know. But, RVD had to job.
And so did Kanyon, as Albert had to retain the IC title
(Lance Storm and Edge never won it). It MIGHT have been a
good match had Albert not been involved. Oh well.
And now Triple H's return to the ring, two months before
he will return in real life. Due to ECW turning against
Steph, HHH stood up for her honor and thus the shot
against ECW World champ, Rhyno. Triple H CAN'T lose his
return match, so he won the ECW World title, but after
the match threw it down saying he's too good for that
title. When ECW breaks off, Tazz wins it in a tournament
and quickly begins a feud with Rhyno.
I didn't want a crappy DQ win for Booker, and I didn't
want TWO people throwing down titles, so The Rock had to
win two PPV's in a row. Poor Booker. If you think I'm
burying him, just wait until No Mercy and Survivor
Series.
And finally, Austin and Angle. Austin IS WCW, so I had to
give the title to Angle in a half-assed match that isn't
like these two. Anyway, Angle is now a two time World
champion! And Austin goes to WCW to feud with The Rock
and the returning Scott Steiner.
