Crime Prevention 101
All you need to know to prevent crime from happening.
Do you know the Layers of Protection?
disgrasya at kasawian?

The Four Layers of Protection Against Crime
Self (Ikaw) - yes, that's you, yourself and your corpus.
Home (Tahanan) - your house and your family
Neighborhood (Kapitbahayan) - your neighbors and the people who live near your house
Community (Komunidad) - not just your average village people but also the various establishments, law enforcement agencies and rescue/emergency task force brigades available in your vicinity.
***

Do you know how to defend yourself?
There may be a lot of ways for you to react to a certain stimulus such as that adrenaline-pumping potential threat to you or your loved-one's safety. You should know at least how to react, at least so as not to injure yourself or your loved-one and escape the incident unscathed.
But still, the best way is quick thinking. Use your head, man! As much as possible psych-out the victimizer so he won't injure you or his hostage, if ever. Don't let fear grip you like a vice. Maintain a cool head and contemplate your plan of action.
But, of course, it would be better if you know a few basic self-defense techniques such as those Bruce Lee flying kicks or some WWF body slamming action... but do be careful not to injure yourself and aggregate the situation as it is...
If you have time, take a self-defense course such as those offered in your local gyms or law enforcement agencies.
But if you don't have time yet, know these few tips...
3 weak spots of your opponent
Eyes
Dead center!!! Through the eyeballs!!! He won't be able to see your charming personality after! And that's a fact!!!
Throat
Cartilaginous and soft, if hit properly, it would literally suck the breath out of your attacker.
Groin
Ouch!!! Extreme excruciating pain!!! Be sure, though, that your opponent is a man, otherwise...
Your best weapon still is your thinking head.
Did you know that you can use your umbrella to defend yourself?
What Else???
In this section, discretion is required as it could lead to the aggregation of the situation or pose actual threat to you since you will be actively participating in actual hand-to-hand action. But always remember that whatever action you do will aversely affect your future... as well as your way of thinking in life.
So, please, be very discreet in reading the file which could be found here. Your actions afterwards would only be based on whatever moral values you have at the moment.
