Theme Parks

We're fortunate enough to live in Florida and be able to visit theme parks whenever we wish. If this is your first time visiting Florida, we highly suggest taking a 3-hour drive to Orlando if time permits.

Theme Park Busch Gardens
Admission Price: $53.95 (Ages 10 and Over), $44.95 (Ages 3-9), under three admitted free. Price does not include applicable taxes.
Though this park is located in Tampa, it's just an hour drive away from Orlando. It's a family adventure park offering an array of fascinating attractions based on exotic encounters with the African continent, thrilling rides, premier zoos, and live shows.

Theme Park Disney's Animal Kingdom
Admission Price: $54.75 (Ages 10 and Over), $43.75 (Ages 3-9), under three admitted free. Price does not include applicable taxes.
A Journey through a world of animals. Matthew and I visited this park when it first opened and not a lot of the attractions were available then. We haven't been back since. We did enjoy seeing "Festival of the Lion King" and "It's Tough to be a Bug". If you like going to a zoo, you will love this park.

Theme Park Disney's Epcot Center
Admission Price: $54.75 (Ages 10 and Over), $43.75 (Ages 3-9), under three admitted free. Price does not include applicable taxes.
Our favorite Disney theme park. Do not leave the park without seeing "Honey I Shrunk The Audience". For lunch, try The Garden Grill Restaurant located at The Land Pavilion. It takes place in a revolving dining room while Mickey and his friends greet you right at your table. If you decide to stay until the park closes, check out "IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth". Dazzling special effects, colorful lasers, brilliant fireworks display to end your night.

Theme Park Disney's Magic Kingdom
Admission Price: $54.75 (Ages 10 and Over), $43.75 (Ages 3-9), under three admitted free. Price does not include applicable taxes.
Magic Kingdom is great if you have kids. They will surely enjoy the fantasy atmosphere come to life. It's the busiest theme park in Orlando so expect longer lines. Adults can also enjoy riding "It's A Small World", "Pirates of the Caribbean", and "The Haunted Mansion". If you're brave enough, try "Splash Mountain".

Theme Park Disney's MGM Studios
Admission Price: $54.75 (Ages 10 and Over), $43.75 (Ages 3-9), under three admitted free. Price does not include applicable taxes.
Matthew's favorite attraction in this theme park is "Who Wants to be a Millionaire - Play It!". He almost made it to the "hot seat". We also suggest seeing "Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular" and ride "The Great Movie Ride". Most of the attractions in this theme park are in an air-conditioned room so if you cannot handle the Florida heat, this is perfect for you.

Theme Park Islands of Adventure
Admission Price: $54.75 (Ages 10 and Over), $44.95 (Ages 3-9), under three admitted free. Price does not include applicable taxes.
If you love fast, scary, and thrilling rides, this is your park. If not, you can always enjoy doing some shopping, walking, and sightseeing. "The Amazing Adventure of Spider Man 3-D Thrill Ride" and "Jurassic Park River Adventure" are great rides. The best however is the "Incredible Hulk Coaster" which takes you from 0-40 mph in 2 seconds!

Theme Park Sea World
Admission Price: $53.95 (Ages 10 and Over), $44.95 (Ages 3-9), under three admitted free. Price does not include applicable taxes.
This is my second favorite theme park. It's a marine adventure park with world-class shows, thrilling rides and unforgettable animal encounters that include killer whales, dolphins, sea lions, stingrays and more. I have spent hours feeding the dolphins at the Key West Dolphin Cove. That alone is worth the experience. We highly suggest seeing "Clyde and Seamore" show. You will love it.

Theme Park Universal Studios
Admission Price: $54.75 (Ages 10 and Over), $44.95 (Ages 3-9), under three admitted free. Price does not include applicable taxes.
Go beyond the screen and Ride the Movies! This is our all-time favorite theme park. You will enjoy most (if not all) of the rides, shows, movie sets and attractions from your favorite movies. Don't leave without trying "Back to the Future The Ride", and "E.T. Adventure". Our first time together in this park was back in January 1995. We have been coming back ever since.
