Dear Ms Baker
You are certainly not alone in your views about the Job Network and the lack of direct job creation policies coming from the Commonwealth Government. Persistent high levels of long-term unemployment are indisputable proof that the Government’s job creation efforts, such as they are, are failing to create meaningful work for the unemployed. The number of long-term unemployed is today higher than it was when the Howard Government was first elected to office in March 1996.
