UP Optics' Grand Narrative
It all started one dark afternoon of
the 1st semester of A.Y. 2002-2003 when a group of Film 110 [Basic
Photography, B&W] students under Professor Anne Marie de Guzman got
attached with black and white photography. One of her students, Jesus Paolo
Tolentino, initiated the founding of an organization that would serve as a
venue for photography enthusiasts where they can enhance their skills and
at the same time share these talents and interests with fellow photography
lovers. Six out of the 15 students pursued the plan. After several informal
meetings, the news spread through personal invitation. And on November 20,
2002, they gathered for the very first general assemble at the second floor
of Palma Hall commonly known as AS. And the rest, as they say, is history. |
