Christine and I met at Tyson's Corner Galleria before noon yesterday, and
from there proceeded to Dulles Airport, with Christine driving. We were
there early, so we spent the time browsing in the magazine and book shop and
catching up on news. Christine looked quite well.

We saw Jojo walking toward us at United's baggage claim area at around 1:30.
Our original plan was to catch up at a restaurant at Dulles itself, but none
of the nice sit-down restaurants were open to non-passengers, owing to the
new security measures. So, Christine and I asked the information desk where
Leesburg was, and found out that it was not all that difficult to get to from
Dulles.

Christine drove us to the Lansdowne, the Hotel/Convention Center where Jojo
was staying for her conference, which is way out in the Virginia countryside.
It was the first time for both Christine and me to see this place! Kung
hindi pa dumating si Jojo, hindi pa namin alam ito! It is a nice place, with
a golf course.

Jojo checked in and we went up to her room. Napaka thoughtful niya, mayroon
pa siyang pasalubong sa aming dalawa na a very cute potholder and a nice
candle. Then we decided to have a very late lunch (almost 3:00 na) at the
Lansdowne Grill, right in the hotel.

Masarap ang pagkain. Ang daming chismis. Christine and Jojo had not seen
each other since college! Sayang nga at hindi na timing ni Ella ang visit
niya sa DC, otherwise apat sana kami.

Jojo is leaving tomorrow, and is still scheduled to go on a lot of business
trips afterwards. But she and Kuya Ruds are also going on a cruise to
Barcelona in between.

Ned and I are leaving for Moscow tomorrow, coming back late next week, and
proceeding up the very next day up to Delay's hometown of Northampton, MA,
for Nina's graduation from Smith. I cannot believe our little girl is
graduating!
