Jonathan Drahos – Richard III




















Jonathan returns to the Uprising Theatre Company stage after his vibrant portrayal of Shakespeare's tortured Prince in the West Coast premiere of the Uprising Theatre Company's HAMLET and followed up with his equally stirring depiction of the conflicted eponymous MACBETH. He also starred in the critically acclaimed independent film Circuit. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Fine Arts degrees in the Theatre Arts from California State University, Long Beach and University of Missouri respectively. He recently costarred on Broadway in Moliere's classic Scapin directed by Bill Irwin. He is also proud to have starred opposite Joanne Woodward in Noel Coward's Hay Fever. Jonathan spent many years playing the classics with prestigious companies in New York such as John Houseman's The Acting Company; the Roundabout Theatre Company; the Berkshire Theatre Festival; Williamstown Theatre Festival; the Public Theatre; the New York Shakespeare Festival; and others. Jonathan also has produced a play Off Broadway which had a successful run at the Judith Anderson Theatre on 42nd which he starred in with his wife, Carolanne. Locally, he recently starred as Wykowski in Biloxi Blues at the Pasadena Playhouse and has appeared on Television in Navy NCIS, The Norm Show and American Dreams.

This native of Annapolis, Maryland began his adventures in the drama realm while in college in a stage production of Neil Simon’s Biloxi Blues, when he auditioned literally on a dare from a friend. Since then he has honed his talents in such diverse stage productions as Sweet Bird of Youth, Stalag 17, Anne of A Thousand Days, Zoo Story, and A Hatful of Rain. He has appeared in various film shorts, including The Spangled Star (Awarded Best Film Short by Hollywood Shorts Film Festival), Fancy Pony, Hills Like White Elephants, and an exciting turn as the heavy in Red Cape Cinema’s fan film WWII: Balance of Power. An avid student of Shakespeare, Robert works with the incomparable Scott Colomby of the Scott Colomby Workshop on an ongoing basis. Always an avid writer, his original plays My Kind of Girl and Learning To Fly debuted at Theatre East in Studio City, CA. Briton Green – Rivers, Mayor, etc.





















Briton studied theater at James Madison University before apprenticing at Actors Theatre of Louisville, where he performed in such shows as “East of Eden” and “Blue Window.”  After that, his work in the New York theater world led him to a few lines in “Blair Witch 2,” which was fun enough to prompt the move to Los Angeles.  Sometime this fall, he’s due to film the role of Tim Cahill in “Downcity.”


Andy Scott Harris - Prince William




















Andy is pleased to make his Uprising Theatre debut with this production.  Among his theatre credits are Alice in Wonderland, Model Home, The Sound of Music, The Music Man, High School Musical, Cheaper by the Dozen, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and The Fire Princess.  Andy is a fourth-grader at San Fernando Valley Professional School where he excels in math and science. In his spare time he likes to skateboard, swim, play the electric guitar, and make dramatic videos with his friends.  Representation: Martin Weiss Management.


Matthew Johnson / Prince York


















Matthew is thrilledto make his debut performance with Uprisng Theatre as Prince York.  Originally from Canton Georgia, Matthew is making his home in L.A. to persue his interest in Theatre and Film. 
Prior theastrical credits include Billy Cratchet in "Scrooge", and  Kurt in "The Sound of Music".  Matthew enjoys acting, sports, movies, reading and telling jokes.

Christian Lebano













Christian Lebano has performed at regional theaters around the country including the Oregon, Utah, and Montana Shakespeare Festivals; Shakespeare Repertory, Court Theatre and Pegasus Players in Chicago; PCPA TheatreFest in Santa Maria; and Madison Repertory in Wisconsin among others.  Favorite roles include: Stephen in Major Barbara, Dromio of Ephesus in Comedy of Errors, Suffolk in Henry VI pts. 1 & 2, Oberon/Theseus in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Malvolio in Twelfth Night, Lloyd in Noises Off and the title character in Cymbeline.  Locally he played Lord Capulet in a long-running LA production of Romeo & Juliet directed by Joe Regalbuto.  He has most recently acted in a workshop that will lead to the American stage premiere of Bernhard Schlink's The Reader at the Montalvo Arts Center in Saratoga.

Previous credits include Splenda in The Hotbox directed by Liz Groth (Yale Cabaret), Hayzelle in Dancing in the Dark directed by Patricia McGregor (Yale Cabaret), Crystal in Little Shop of Horrors directed by Jacob Padron (Yale Cabaret), Meg in Learning Russian directed by Jesse Jou (Yale Cabaret), Luciana in Comedy of Errors directed by Irwin Appel (Shakespeare Santa Barbara), Angel in Angels in America directed by Irwin Appel (Hatlen Theatre, UCSB), and Timandra in Timon of Athens directed by Risa Brainin (Hatlen Theatre, UCSB). Aja is currently pursuing her MFA in Acting at the Yale School of Drama, MFA expected in 2010.

Adam Mondschein



















From the Hawk's Well Theatre in Ireland to the Egyptian Arena Theatre in Hollywood, Adam has found his way onto stages around the world. Adam received a BFA in Acting from the University of Maryland and worked on the East Coast for several years with the Baltimore Shakespeare Festival and the Chesapeake Shakespeare Company. Since moving to California two years ago his most recent work has been with Shakespeare Santa Barbara, Pasadena's Art Center College of Design and Open Window Entertainment's Children Theatre projects. Some of his favorite roles include Dromio of Syracuse in A Comedy of Errors, Orpheus in Orpheus, Christian in Cyrano, and Horatio in Hamlet. He'd like to send a special thank you to his wonderful girlfriend Lindsey for all her love and support.

Susan Foley










Susan is very proud to be in her second production with the Uprising Theatre Company.  She received her MA from Northwestern University and then cut her teeth on the improv stages in Chicago before making the move to LA.   She is glad on a daily basis that she had the wisdom to choose sun over snow.  Thanks to Jonathan for all his help with this most challenging role of this most challenging production.

Stepka Li (Dorset / Various)























Stepka graduated from MIT with a degree in mathematics and a minor in
theatre arts.  Like most other science geeks, she then headed out to
Los Angeles to become an aspiring actor and stunt performer.  Favorite
past productions include "Battlestar Galactica" (stunts), "Antony and
Cleopatra" (Cleopatra), and playing a tap-dancing stormtrooper in the
premiere production of "Star Wars: Musical Edition."
