As Within..So Without
What speaks to me through these universal words? We are all related, a small fraction of the greater whole. Just think for a moment, let all your knowledge and under- standing drop for a moment. All mammals breath the same air, air is not restricted to a region or country nor to a specific race. All humans breath the same air as does the whole planet. The land that we stand on is the same earth, another being is standing on the same earth opposite of the globe. Even though they be separated by mountains and vast oceans, it is still the same earth. The earth does not recognize borders cultures or countries or religions, the earth simply is being itself supporting all life regardless of gender, creed, or species. All species,flora and fauna all drink and absorb the same water. Water does not contain its self within certain countries or continents. water travels and circulates freely on the air, through out rivers under and above ground, into great oceans ...raining down on the land like veins it courses through the earth nurturing all things, again like air and earth it does not choose race creed or species. We humans are all connected.
Think deeper ..become abstract in your thoughts. Ponder this, every time you consume meat or vegetables
you are eating the whole story of earth. Ponder a plant,how did it grow? water, fertilizers, dead things absorbed and composted into the soil, oxygen that is reproduced as breathable air. Every time a human consumes food they are partaking of the whole. How abstract can you think?
Thousands of years ago your ancestors died and still are dying. Where did their bodies go? Back into the earth, back into the soil they were absorbed. It does not matter how the went into the soil ashes or flesh they have become apart of the soil. The very soil we cultivate for food, the very plants that draw nutrients from the earth contain all things that have ever been. Live stock eat the plants. We are all related.
Either you will grasp the inner connection or you will be appalled. Really it does not matter....it is an integrated truth. Can you broaden your thoughts even more? This planet we call earth is a part of a solar system. The solar system is one of many (beyond count) that makes up the galaxy. The galaxy is a part of the cosmos. It is Infinite.
Another thought to contemplate. How with reason can humanity continually perceive separatism, racism, dictate religious beliefs on each other and think they are above other people. Think deeper. When passing a stranger you are passing an ancestor. When walking in the world you are walking on a past of all things. How can one deny that every one and thing is an integral part of the whole.
By now you are infuriated or intrigued..or possibly baffled. It does not matter to the whole of existence.
As Within-So Without
A tricky concept, a very abstract concept to be sure. Take a moment to contemplate the very idea of it. To perceive and believe in ugliness, one will only project and be ugliness. To perceive and believe in beauty, one will see and project beauty. What is ugliness? Ugliness is judgement, ugliness sees and makes distinctions focused on differences. Ugliness separates people, it judges beliefs, it judges race, it judges religion. Ugliness imposes an individuals beliefs on others. What is beauty? Beauty recognizes harmony, beauty sees the integrated whole, beauty sees similarities in others, beauty sees uniqueness as a contribution to the whole. Beauty does not separate and judge. beauty seeks patterns and symmetry in all things. Beauty comprehends synchronicity, serendipity and the unified whole.
