History of Hang Gliding & Paragliding

If there's one thing worse than being on the ground and wishing you were in the air, it's being in the air wishing you were on the ground.

Even though the TRX has inspection zippers in its undersurface, enabling inspection of the cross tube / leading edge junction, I failed to spot that in reassembling it from its short-packed state for airliner travel, I had routed the right-hand side flying wire outside the leading edge tube. This effectively shortened the rigging on that side.

Launching into ideal conditions at one of Britain's premier east-facing sites, spectacular Malvern, I found that the glider was in a left turn. Speeding up -- the usual answer to improving roll response -- tightened the turn. Flying slowly conferred adequate roll control but caused me to climb in the strong lift. (Notice that my right arm is wrapped around the down tube.) Eventually I flew out of the lift and landed.
