Mind Games History

Mind Games was one of the most successful UPW PPV's . All 6 Titles were on the line including the world title where tazz defended it against the no.1 contender who won the royal rumble,chris benoit. It was a night where alliances were formed and double champions were made. More importanltly it was the night of chris benoit who captured both the european and world title. Ken shamrock joined forces with tazz and christian but his mind games were ruined by another newly formed team, almighty dave , BookerT and mr x. Matches and Results Brawler vs Rhyno - Barb wire career match It was a short match but in the end won by brawler the hardcore legend forcing rhyno to have his first and last match in UPW. BookerT (c) vs Tazz - US title match Just another great match between to bitter rivals who met for the 3rd time. early on if the match the ref got knocked down and a replacment ref was made.....ken shamrock the upw prez. during this match shamrock helped both tazz and BookerT making everyone wonder who side he was really on, in the end we found out when him and tazz started to work together taking booker out with a steel chair. mr x ran down to save booker T, booker T got the pinfall and retained his title for the 10th time. chris benoit vs rage (c) - European title match probably the best match of the night which had both men going through a table and benoit delivering 3 fyling headbuts one off the top of a ladder. but in the end benoit made rage tap to the cross face and won his first UPW title. Y2J (c) vs christian vs Mr X - IC Title ladder match Another great match which came down to Y2J and mr x. bith men wer att he top of the ladder reaching for the belts. Y2J deciding to powerbomb mr x off the ladder but as he did mr x grabbed the IC belt to become the first ever 2 time IC champion. guz vs jimmy (c) - hardcore title match Almighty dave retuned to UPW and made his way to the ring with the hardcore belt. he stripped the injured jimmy from the title and handed it to guz, guz became a double champion. BookerT and guz (c) vs Rage - Tag team Title match This handidcap match should have been a easy win for Booker and guz but they faied to work together bother men wanting to get the winning pin, in the end booker nailed rage with the book end and got the win.BookerT managed to successful defend both of his titles. Tazz (c) vs chris benoit (c) - no DQ world and european title match This was  a great match. shamrock accopanied tazz to ringside and it wasnt long until he started to get invloved. almighty dave then come down and to the crowds amazment started to lay into shamrock. both men gradually made there way backstage. towards the end of this grulling constest shamrock and christian came down to the ring and attacked benoit. Then to benoits rescue came Booker,almighty dave and mr x. benoit got the pin and the win.
