Indonesian police seek information from arrested terror suspects
Indonesian police hope that six terror suspects arrested last week can lead them to
the Malaysian explosives experts wanted for the Bali and Marriott bombings.
National detective chief, Suyitno Landung Sujono, says it is believed the six know the
whereabouts of the two Malaysians and that they are still in Indonesia.
Noordin Mohammad Top and Azahari Husin are suspected of playing a key role in the
Bali blasts, which killed 202 people in October 2002, and the Marriott hotel bombing,
which killed 12 people in Jakarta last August.
Jemaah Islamiyah is blamed for both attacks and for a series of other blasts.
The six were rounded up by counter-terrorist officers during a raid in the Central Java
town of Sukoharjo last Wednesday.
