Bomb explodes in Langkat, kills one villager
MEDAN, North Sumatra (Antara): A suspected improvised bomb exploded early on
Tuesday morning in a village in Langkat regency, North Sumatra province.
The bomb went off at about 2 a.m. Jakarta time in Sei Bingei village, South Binjai
district some 20 kilometers from the regency capital of Stabat.
The explosion killed Adek Karo-karo and seriously injured two others, Rehulina Beru
Ginting and Samudera. They are being treated in Medan's Pirngadi General Hospital.
Officers from the Langkat Police and North Sumatra Provincial Police are still
investigating the case and gathering evidence.
Comr. Dading Erdadi, who leads the investigation team, said they had to found clues
on the motive of the blast and the type of the bomb. (***)
