Assassin of Prosecutor Silalahi Yet to Be Found
TEMPO Interactive, Palu, Central Sulawesi:Central Sulawesi Police are yet to
discover the whereabouts of prosecutor Ferry Silalahi's assassin.
Emil, 24, who was arrested a few days ago by the police, only had some information
regarding the assassination that took place on May 26.
Central Sulawesi Police spokesman, Adj. High Comm. Agus Sugianto, said that Emil
was not proven to be the assassin.
However, he would still named as the suspect in this case as he had prior knowledge
about the planned assassination of Silalahi and failed to report this to the police.
Several lawyers, all members of the Muslim Lawyers Association (SPM), are willing to
provide Emil with legal support.
One of the lawyers, Andi Makassau, said he was convinced that the police have
arrested the wrong person.
"Everyone in Emil's village is willing to testify that Emil was at his house in Donggolu
on the night of the prosecutor's assassination," said Makassau. (Darlis-Tempo News
