Vintage By Hand
This was quite a glorious wedding gown I imagine once upon a time.  But time like all things has taken it's toll.  Although it's not pure white, it's not as yellow as it appears in the pictures.  More of a dark ivory color really, if there is such a thing.  I've yet to try and restore it so there's still hope.  I don't much care for the fabric in front but I'm really enamored of the off the shoulder aspect and trim.
This is a very simple, but pretty summer dress that just doesn't seem to fit with the Silkstones sophisticated attitude.  I can't help but think the right hat and maybe a pair of white tricot gloves could bring it up to speed.
This gown reminds me of summer or more likely spring judging by the pastel purple tone and looks very sweet on anybody who wears it.  It does need a slight bit of restoration, but even without it I find it has a simple charm.  The accent at the waist is just a simple ribbon tied into a bow, but I can't help but wonder if the lady who made this had something else in mind.  She tagged this piece and the blue one to the left with a loving "Made by Bessie" label inside.
Three vintage outfits all made by hand.  The blue and purple dresses are tagged "Bessie" and the white wedding gown has no tags of any kind.
