Truly rare is the movie that really does redefine a genre and in 1999 that's exactly what The Matrix did. Groundbreaking special effects like 'bullet time', a stellar cast, and intriguing plot made this an instant classic. Not only did it spawn a huge fanbase, but also the requisite toys. This is the 12" (1/6 scale) redition of Morpheus as portrayed by Laurance Fishburne in the martial arts sequence in which he challenges young Neo (Keanu Reeves) to show him his stuff. |
WHAT IS THE MATRIX? |
Most of the other 12" dolls in this series are sadly unremarkable, but I thought this sculpt, though it doesn't resemble Larry too much, was attractive none-the-less. I actually think he looks more like Seal. |
I really like this Art Gallery theme and now I'm thinking about doing a whole series. I used an oversized photo book as the back-grounds and I think it works really well! In case you're wondering who's the featured artist, it's none other than Herb Ritz. |
If you don't recognize the fashions it's not because you're crazy, it's because they're handmade. At least the shirts are and I think they turned out rather well (no, I didn't make them). The cargo pants come from Integrity's Jordan and the shoes belong to Ken. Too bad all my real life friends aren't as generous as these guys! |
