ROLEPLAYING
I’ve done a lot of Roleplaying in my time. In fact I have been playing RPGs in one form or another for the past 20+ years. SO quite naturally in that time, I’ve played a lot of games, and I’ve run a lot of games. Here is a list.
D&D/AD&D
The first, the original, the controversial. I started playing AD&D when it was still first edition, and there was only four rule books out. (Player’s Handbook, Dungeon Masters Guide, Monster Manuel, and Deities & Demigods) I have also run D&D for most of that time. I have run in the thee major campaigns of Greyhawk, Forgotten Realms, and Dragonlance. I am currently putting together my own campaign world, I call Gemand. In my time I have played pretty much every class, and race available.
WhiteWolf
I was first introduced to White Wolf’s Storyteller System through the game Vampire at a small convention I attended in Germany. That was eight years ago. Storyteller has since become one of my favorite systems. In my time, I have played Vampires, Ghouls, Werewolves, Bastet, Mages, and Changelings. I have also LARPED, but only as a Vampire so far. I have run Vampire, and I curently have two on again, off again campaigns I’m running, one is a Dark Ages campaign set in twelfth century Paris, the other is a Hunter game (Not using the Hunter: the Reckoning rules) set in a Modern day [alternate] World of Darkness. I also have a Werewolf the Wild West campaign I’m setting up.
Champions
I have played several Super Hero RPGs in my time. I played the two based on Marvel and DC comics respectively. While they were good, I found that they were a little too tied in with their respective universes. Then I discovered Hero System’s Champions. IMHO the most flexible of the Super Hero games. While Champions does have it’s own “universe” I again have set my campaign in a universe of my own creation, called the Anomoly universe, which makes use of ideas drawn from WildCards, [Marvel’s] The New Universe, and countless others. Admittedly this game is on hold, until I have a chance to acquire the fourth edition rules. But once I do . . .
Other Games
In addition to the three major ones I have mentioned above, I have played countless others. I loved Gamma World, and would love to see a d20 edition released. I played and ran Star Frontiers, Star Wars (1st ed and 2nd ed) Star Frontiers, to name a few. I have played but not run, Cyberpunk, Twilight 2000, ShadowRun, Star Wars d20, Star Trek (1st ed), and Dr, Who. To name a few.
