In the morning I was to register my entrance to the library again, but as Kostas wasn't at work before I had to meet Tania-extrasense, I just left all the papers and contact info. Olga Fedorovna is realy discontent but I think she shouldn't accuse me - I'm not department chief any more although I'm sad to see Kostas don't wanna do ANYthing...

With Tania-extrasense we had to go so that I present her to Serguey from Universal Service so that she can buy a puter from them later as "ours". I asked him if I could change through him my Philips CD-rom which is not very good at reading, he said OK and gave me his e-mail, telling btw that mailru now have new server wtih 20Mb storage space! Asked also for something for the library to talk with someone interested to make a universal server...

Then we had an appointment with her daughter's Natalia who I took a picture of and then we finally filled my questionnary for the site - it took quite some time also.

Well, coming back to work, I resolved the LAN/Sound cards conflict. I suppose LAN just didn't want to work on the 10th interrupt Windows was assigning to it and I discovered it was assigned in CMOS. Well, I put it on auto and a strange thing happened - LAN card was assigned IRQ 5, the same as Video card but... BOTH ARE WORKING!... :-) Strange but since they work it's fine. Have to call Yaroslav, Kiev sysadmin Monday to ask him have he ever seen this and can I leave it... I somehow thought two devices except some inner MB's can't be on same IRQ...

I installed Windows 98 Plus and Internet Explorer 5.01 English. But!... Netscape wouldn't install! That really made me sad. Would it be like on the other machine? But I cancel to work without it! What the hell, an ASUS MB, Pentium II and such a crap???

The staff-meeting took alot of time also and the report will be long - I have to write it this time.

I feel pain in the throat but otherwise it doesn't seem I cought cold... Tatyana Borisovna says it can be because of my unspoken pretentions to the situation with Vika... But we had no time to talk today for she had many guests for the affair of Koziarskaya seeking to take back her daughter from father who took her away, and herself who is a very annoying person, honestly, with all her talks.

Well, I'm still troubled indeed because I hardly see myself as a mere accomplisher of what someone else says, for more when this else have lots of other things to do... T.B. says we can clear it up when Anya, our Ukraine main DV coordinator and Edward main DV coordinator in general get back from Uzhgorog and clear this out. So, let it be and let's hope for better.
